NOTE 3: Letter about his funeral: "Hi Richard... Glad to hear all is okay with your family. I know it's a little late, but I hope somebody let you know your great-uncle Chet died in July. We had a MASSIVE funeral on July 29th. There were over 50 cars in the funeral procession which shut down the entire road from Bath to West Bath for a funeral service "on the highway" in front of the West Bath fire station. He was the man who started the W. Bath fire station and went all the way up to chief. The firemen did a funeral service at the church in Bath and at the fire station. The Army did a gravesite service. Everybody loved Uncle Chet, and I saw people I haven't seen in many years. ttyl, Aunt Laura"
