Notes: Aaron A SHAUL

NOTE 2: Aaron Shaul was born 11/20/1893 in Banner County. His parents, William and Mary Shaul, homesteaded in Banner County, and lived there most of their lives. He attended school at the "V" school in Banner County. He married Agnes Faye Pfeifer 9/19/1919 in Gering. Mr. Shaul owned and operated a car repair shop in the old Lockwood building on 7th St. in Gering for several years. Aaron was also ditch foreman for the

Nine-Mile Irrigation District before moving to Banner County in 1926. They moved to land owned by a Mr. Lackey, east and south of

Harrisburg. In 1932 they moved to their own farm in Sec. 4-19-56, and lived there until Mr. Shaul's death in 1957. They had one daughter,

Roena Pearl, b. 9/9/1920, in the apartment above the garage. She married Russell Leo Hight, (see biog.) in 1940; and Russell joined his

father-in-law in the operation of the farm and also a well-drilling business in which Mr. Shaul was engaged. They drilled several water

supply wells for the oil companies around the county, as well as domestic and irrigation wells. A good many of these wells are still in

operation. After Asron's death, Agnes moved to Gering and cared for her mother for several years. She lived in Gering until her death,

2/5/1965.
