Notes: Frederick FRANKLIN

NOTE 1: He had a very serious illness during the fall of 1889. His father records in his journal that he got medicine from the doctor in Bayard on August 17, 1889. On August 23 the doctor came to see him. On August 27, September 2, and September 25, he got more medicine from Bayard. On September 27 the doctor came to see "Fridey" again. On September 28, again in his journal, Marcus writes "Fridey" was still very sick. He got better and eventually filed on a Kinkaid homestead in what was Logan Canyon south of McGrew. He lived on the homestead with his wife until his death during the flu epidemic of 1918.
