NOTE 6: Ida’s 7th great grandfather, Captain Thomas Graves was one of the early settlers of the first permanent English settlement in North America. Jamestown, founded in 1607, was re-supplied October 1608 with Thomas Graves being one of the entrepreneurs and adventurers, sent by King James I, and the Virginia Company to settle Virginia.
